Description: Identify Armor Quality represents the knowledge of how to evaluate armor in order to learn how valuable and well made it is.
Who Can Learn It: Anyone can learn Identify Armor Quality.
What It is Supposed to Do: Allows characters to tell information about armor such as how well it protects, how much durability it has left, how much it costs, and how much it weighs.
What it Does: Allows characters to know how much a piece of armor is worth and how much it weighs. Identify Armor Quality does not appear to be fully implemented yet.
Activation: ID or IDENTIFY (ID [ITEM]), ID QUALITY (ID QUALITY ON [ITEM]).
Usefulness (Low Levels): Low. The skill is very inaccurate, and provides little information that can not be found through other means.
Usefulness (Mid-Levels): Low. The skill is relatively accurate, but provides little information that can not be found through other means.
Usefulness (High Levels): Low. The skill is accurate, but provides little information that can not be found through other means.
How to Practice: Get a piece of armor such as a tunic and ID QUALITY ON TUNIC (or whatever the item is). You can do this at almost any time, including while resting.
Tips: At low levels, use a set of armor with a low value. You can get uses off of almost any item, but you only get uses if you are "accurate" with your assessment. At this time, you can use the same piece of armor over and over again to practice on.
Unconfirmed Rumors (May or May Not Be True): Due to the ease with which they can be raised in level, most players in Dragon's Gate have at least one ID skill which they have gained 5 levels in.
